The Precambrian era

By Miguel Manrriguez
When did this timeline start
● This time started from

4,6000 billion years

600 million years

ago

The precambrian era is the earliest

time period on the geological scale

● The subdivision that you can find during this time are the
precambrian w ,precambrian X precambrian y precambrian z
What kind of thing can you find during this time
● Most of the living things were single celled
● You can find fossils from plants and animals from when the sediments were
formed
● Linchen

The conditions on earth
● There were several rock types yeld they know this because of the
sedimentary that was formed by lithification which provide clues to the
climate
● The earth's atmosphere was virally devoid of oxygen
● I don't think there really was a hydrosphere during this time but i found
something that said this The oldest rocks known are 3.9 billion to 4.0 billion
years old, and these rocks, though altered by post-depositional processes,
show signs of having been deposited in an environment containing water.
There is no direct evidence for water for the period between 4.6 billion and
3.9–4.0 billion years ago. Thus, ideas concerning the early history of the
hydrosphere are closely linked to theories about the origin of Earth.
What caused the mass extinction/essential questions
They stuff that caused the mass extinction for the precambrian era was a mix of
climate and geological events .

1.how can we determine how old the earth is by rocks and rocks from earth's
crust and from rock from the moon

2. How has earth physicals feater impacted the evolution of organisms it has
impacted us greatly mostly in a good way because we are here and we are like
the newest organism to the earth
