Document Development Exposition: Instructions and Usability Test Script

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
I wanted to pick a topic I knew how to do and had a passion for. Though I am not a cosmetologist, I
do put on my wigs and enjoy learning about them. My topic was fun and I am sure many of my
classmates would enjoy learning about how to put on wigs. I didn’t have any challenges with
planning.

First Draft (for peer editing)

Researching how to put on a wig was quite easy. I understood the process, and I put it into words
that would be easy for my peers to understand. In addition, I added pictures to also aid in
understanding.

Second Draft (for your packet)

My second draft only had minor edits such has punctuations/grammar.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

My biggest challenge was knowing what needed a separate instruction. Currently, I still don’t know
how to make the design more pleasing, but I am open to learning.
