1.0 INTRODUCTION
WZR is preparing for the development of the Kurdamir field located approximately 60
kilometres south south-west of the city of Sulaymaniyah, in the southeast part of the Kurdistan
Region of Iraq, as shown in Figure 1.
The Infrastructure & Drilling Facilities will be supported by accommodation Camps and Oil
Police Force Camps in the vicinity of well locations.

2.0 SCOPE
This specification establishes the minimum requirement for staff and labor cabins to
accommodate the workforce required by WZR (Company) activities as explained above. It
covers design, construction & supply of cabins.
Where the provider (hereinafter referred to as Supplier or Contractor), proposes use of
existing cabin facilities, these shall be subject to formal review and approval by WZR
(Company). Modifications to bring standards of existing cabin facilities in accordance with the
present specifications shall be the Supplier’s responsibility.
This Specification should be read in conjunction with all referenced standards and documents.

3.0 RESOLUTION OF CONFLICT


In the event of any conflict between specification, data Sheets, or with any applicable Codes
and Standards, Contractor/Supplier shall inform WZR and obtain written clarification or
authorization before proceeding with the work. Normally the most stringent specification shall
prevail in case of conflict.
In general, the order of precedence for the documents shall be:

4.0 SITE METEOROLOGICAL DATA


The following meteorological data shall be considered when designing the cabins and/or any
isolation calculations:

7.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

 Supplier shall be solely responsible for ensuring that the facilities provided meet the
minimum standards and requirements set by all applicable national and local codes and
other governing authorities and obtain all necessary inspections, permits, occupancy licenses
in order that the facility may be occupied as per the agreed schedule.
 Supplier shall provide a copy of their HSSE management system detailing the relevant HSSE
requirements for the construction of the cabins and the management thereof in terms of
HSSE for WZR approval.
 Cabins shall be of single-story type and uniform in color.
 All furniture shall be sturdy & of good quality. Samples of furniture to be provided shall be
inspected by WZR & approved.
 All cabins are a non-smoking premises.
 The following requirements shall apply:

1. All cabins shall be of good quality and suitable for a minimum of 20 years of use.

2. All cabin components shall be designed to allow transportation by standard transport


vehicles i.e., flatbed trucks and/or similar.

3. Each cabin shall be supplied with integral FF&E (Furniture, Fittings and Equipment)
including toilet/bathroom facilities.

4. All sandwich panels shall be fire tested & rated. Cabin floors, walls and ceilings testing
and rating shall be performed in accordance with standards EN 13501-1 and EN
13501-2, and shall have a fire rating (reaction to fire) class of B-s2d0 as a minimum.

5. Structures and cabin materials shall not be made of wood or materials, which are likely
to be detrimentally affected by humidity or termites.

6. All cabins will be elevated from the ground at a height of 30 cm and supported by a
concrete sleepers/blocks (by others).

7. Any opening in cabin walls, roof, floor or doors shall be properly sealed.

8. Cabin tag number shall be engraved on a stainless-steel tag plate, installed on the main
entrance door of each cabin, with letters in black color (RAL9005), and tags as per
Appendix1. All tags (with a full description of each building item) shall be submitted to
WZR approval prior commencing the work. Once the tag list is approved, WZR will
provide all sequential numbers.

9. WALLS
 All walls shall be fixed on the steel structure of the existing base structure.

 Insulated walls and ceiling sandwich panels shall be:


 Closed cell polyurethane 38-42 kg/m3 density, min. 50 mm thick.
 External sheets: 0.45mm thick, 20-micron RAL 9002 polyester painted and
protective foil.
 Internal sheets: 0.45mm thick, 20-micron RAL 9002 polyester painted and
protective foil.

10. BASE FRAME/FLOORING


 Base frame should be 100x100 mm steel box, with minimum thickness of 2 mm.
 All frame parts shall be powder coated steel.
 50x100mm steel for cross members
 When requested, openings for fork-lift pockets in the floor framework shall be
provided.
 Floor: 3mm Vinyl covering on 18 mm marine grade plywood.
 Epoxy floor covering in wet areas or covering with anti-slip ceramic tiles.
 Cabin bottom shall be wrapped with continuous PVC skirting.
 All flooring shall be supported every two feet on center to prevent any sagging of
the floor.
 Floor Imposed loads=3.0 kN/m2 (#62.6 psf).

11. ROOFING
 First layer shall be min. 100 mm Sandwich panel as described above; the second
layer shall be plastic Laminate panel.
 Roof shall be designed to avoid rainwater or snow accumulation. Fixed rain
gutters/pipes shall be provided at cabin corners (or where required).
 Roof Imposed loads=0.75 kN/m2 (#15.7 psf).

12. HVAC
 HVAC split units shall maintain a maximum of 24oC summer and a minimum of 21oC
winter.
 All HVAC units shall be fitted with a heat pump as they are used as heaters during
winter period.
 External HVAC units shall be skid mounted or racks, interior units to be bolted in a
hanging position.
 The most environment-friendly refrigerant (such R-290 or R-600A) shall be used in
all HVAC units.
 Maximum noise level in an accommodation unit, measured as an eight (8) hour time
weighted average while the air conditioning unit is running, shall not exceed forty
(40) dB(A).

13. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS


 All sleeping rooms shall have a 3KG ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher.
 All fire extinguishers to be inspected, stamped, tagged and wall mounted, at each
entrance/exit with required signage.

14. DOORS
 All doors shall be manufactured from PVC.
 External doors shall have a steel frame, a minimum of three hinges, well insulated,
fitted with closure spring and furnished with a handle lock with 3 keys.

15. WINDOWS
 Windows shall be manufactured from PVC. Windows to be fitted with internal
shutters constructed from PVC (or internal blackout curtains). Anti-insect covers
(screens) shall be provided for all windows.
 Windows glass to be double glass with 4 mm thickness. All glasses must be purposed
for use on windows.
 Rain shade is required for all windows.

16. LIFTING POINTS


 Cabins shall have four lifting lugs located on the top of the cabin. The cabin steel
structure shall have sufficient strength to support the lifting of the cabin from the top
without any flexing.
 All lifting lugs shall be fully engineered and certified by a Third Party. Minimum
required NDT: 100% DPT.
Calculation notes (based on ASME BTH-1/ ASME B30.20 or alternatively DIN
28085/28086/28087) shall be provided. A stress load analysis is requested on
those attachments using WRC107/537.

17. PLUMBING WORKS AND SANITARY


 All sewage pipes shall be UPVC pipes, water pipes shall be PE (Polyethylene) pipes.
 Due to cold temperature during the winter all external pipes (water, sewage) and
fittings shall be designed/insulated to prevent freezing.
 Bathroom/toilet floor shall be equipped with drain w/trap connected to the sewage
system.
 WC cabinet must be Western type, unless otherwise stated.
 Each bathroom shall have a western style toilet, 40cm x 40 cm ceramic washing
basin (with 60cm x 40cm mirror) and shower w/glass sliding door (minimum size of
0.9m x 0.9m.). All items shall be supplied and installed with all fittings and mixer

taps. Shower shall have a mixer with telephone head and hand shower holder
bracket.
 Each bathroom shall have a ventilation fan with its own switch.
 All sewage connections shall be fitted with P –Trap & vent pipe to prevent any back
flow of sewer gas/odors from foul sewer lines permeating the cabins. Vent shall run
through cabin roof.

 Hot water boiler shall be installed in the bathroom and equipped with check valve,
& overheating protection.

18. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS/WORKS


 Refer to “Specification for cabin electrical system” for minimum requirements for the
supply, design, fabrication, and testing
 Supplier shall supply and install all electrical fixtures/materials as shown on the
electrical layout drawings for each type of cabin.
 Any electrical cable splicing will only be made inside a junction box.
 Main electrical connection on outside of cabin shall be quick connect/disconnect type.
(Male only)
 Lights installed in the toilet/bathroom shall be of a waterproof type.
 All rooms shall have a minimum of one emergency lighting fixture and one
photoelectric type smoke detector.

19. SUPPLEMENTARY REQUIREMENTS FOR SEA-CONTAINERS


 For “Sea-Container” (or “Sea-Can”) style cabin, fireproof fiber glass between first
wall and internal shall be installed for isolation purposes. Insulation thickness shall be
as per destination site climate however thickness shall not be less than 50mm.
 Structure & frames shall be powder coated steel.
 A-Class fireproof.

 Two or Three-Runner Heavy Duty Container Skid with end rails, cross runners and
Third Party certified lifting trunnions at each side. Minimum required NDT on lifting
points: 100% DPT.
