Direction: Listen to the folk song “Tinikling,” “Magtanim Ay Di Biro,” and
“Lupang Hinirang”; discuss and identify their forms.

1.“Tinikling”
The song Tinikling has three parts. The first part is labeled A, the second
part is labeled B and the third part is a repetition of the first part (A). The
melody of the first and third sections are the same but the melody of the B
section is different. So that the song is an ternary form (ABA) sequence.

2.“Magtanim Ay Di Biro”
The musical form of it is Ternary Form or ABC, Based on the video I have
watched, because the melody was sung in first section is labeled A, then
sung in second section B, after that, it was sung into the last section which
is labeled C. Hence, it is in ternary form that has (ABC) sequence.

3.“Lupang Hinirang”
Lupang Hinirang has three sections. The first section is labeled A, the
second is B and the third is C. The melody in the first section (A) is different
from the second (B) while the melody in the third section (C) is different
compared to the first and
second sections. Hence, it is in ternary form that has (ABC) sequence.
