Being in the healthcare sales field, Leadership skills are essentials for a brilliant and successful

career! Therefore I am permanently seeking a performance feedback!

I selected many colleagues from different organizational levels, in order to avoid any self
fulfilling prophecy especially, that being an achiever, my superiors and colleagues might make
external attributions when I “Fail”.

For the desired performance feedback I selected 3 colleagues:

1- A member of the customer service department


2- A colleague with a similar rank in our sales department
3- My Manager

Since I became overloaded in the past weeks, due to additional responsibilities within my role, I
am resisting any delegation and therefore I am always late in submitting my tasks. Therefore I
am cooperating with all the departments in order to improve my delegation skills!

As a result, I discussed with each of the three “mentors”, the best way to improve those skills.

As a result, we agreed with the customer service colleague that they will handle all the sales
quotations since it is their bright spot. I will only double check, once the task is done! Such an
agreement saved time and gave me the opportunity to focus more on my priority tasks! We will
permanently follow up on that task, in order to provide the customer service department with all
the tools and materials needed, which will accelerate the implementation and allow me time to
accomplish other tasks!

From my colleague in the same department, we agreed that she will handle a part of my
portfolio, since she has a previous successful sales experience in selling the same products
category! Being a trusted colleague with a successful record in this domain, I am sacrificing
more time to my area of expertise in selling the remaining products! I will permanently look after
any colleague having the ability to perform at least 80% of a task in my hand in order to delegate
it to him/her allowing me more time to focus on my agenda!

My manager suggested that I must permanently trust my colleague skills and that I must
prioritize my tasks from the most important to less important! She will look after me every
Monday in order to delegate my tasks appropriately and will provide me with a time frame to
complete my top priority tasks!

From my side I discovered that asking for the feedback, and acting upon the recommendations is
in my favor, since it will help me achieve my career goal and our organizational success!
