Student involvement in an HEI’s community extension program is considered a

key factor in effecting affective learning (Laguador & Chavez, 2013) 1. This
involvement also makes the extension program or activity more impactful,
relevant, and responsive to the social realities of the participating community
(Llenares & Deocaris, 2018)2.

comes to the integration of different stakeholders in promoting and realizing
the institution’s three-fold functions which are instruction, research, and for
this proposal’s specific concern, extension (Bacud, 2013)3. Thus, it is highly
important for Fellowship Baptist College to venture on the possibility of
opening the process of planning and development of a community-extension

program or activity among its students. Rather than including them in the
implementation phase of an extension activity, students should be given the
chance to actively take part in the furtherance of the institution’s extension
function. This idea is the essence of this this proposed activity.
