Managing Teaching & Learning

Strengths:
Seems to be able to maintain class order – implementing the research plan with the reward board and
tracking two students.
Areas for improvement:
How might you be able to use your lesson planning and classroom organization to influence classroom
behaviour?

Implementing Learning

1
Strengths:
Able to work through the plan and the various components in a very timely manner.
Areas for improvement:
Always try to use your classroom planning as a means of engagement. For example, when you are playing
the game, make sure that they are fully engaged in the game. They were able to sit in circles and so
immediately they were able to talk to each other and play around.

Assessing Learning
Strengths:
Lots of checking and calling of names. They also produced quite a bit of written work and crafts so there is
ample evidence to use to mark progress.
The self-assessment at the end was quite interesting! It seems very understandable from the students’
perspective!
“Learning includes understanding that there are consequences for our actions.
Areas for improvement:
Are you able to track each students’ performance in the class? During the circle time, were all students
engaged? How can you monitor all students to ensure they are paying attention and not fooling about?

Reflection
Strengths:
The activities went well. There were a lot of different activities. The time management went very well.
Areas for improvement:
They were very active since it was a later class.
