Will Cole Johnson be in the NFL Draft?
As the year goes on and different sports seasons pass, the time is coming up for the football draft.
A day that if used well can make or break a season for any of the football teams.  The draft this
year should have a good amount of talented players, and one of those players might be one of our
own, Quarterback Cole, Johnson.
Cole Johnson, hailing from Virginia Beach VA is a 6th-year Senior Quarterback for James
Madison University. Johnson is currently the second rank in JMU history for career passing
yards and touchdowns and hopefully will follow Ben Denucci in his NFL Steps. With his career
of 6,511 passing yards and 58 passing touchdowns, he has a strong chance to go pro. Throughout
his 6th year, he has made a strong impact. Johnson was awarded National Performer of the Year
by the CFPA FCS for throwing 3,779 yards and 41 touchdowns in a single season.
I feel that Johnson has a big chance of being in the 2022 Football draft. He has shown his ability
to be a smart player with a quick hand and a fast mind. It is also rumored that the Colts have
shown incredible interest in the JMU quarterback, even comparing him to the current Colts
quarterback Matt Ryan.
This love he is getting from the Colts is causing other teams to look Johnson's way, giving him
an even higher possibility to be selected. One of those other teams includes the Los Angeles
Chargers, who have taken a liking to the JMU quarterback as well.
I believe that he has a super strong chance to be in the NFL draft but you never know. In recent
history, JMU has not played as well as we have in the past but we still have a large number of
impressive players and Johnson is definitely one of them.
