Duties: make sure inside and outside of the hotel is clean such as clean
hallways, lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairways, empty
wastbaskets,ashtrays; keep storeage areas and carts
well_stocked, clean and tidy.

Duties: care for the rooms. When one guest checks out of the room, one
of them must prepare the room for the next guests. Their duties
are change the linens on the beds and disinfect and deodorize
the room; wipe down and polish the headboard, lamps, dresser,
desk and all washable surfaces. In the bathroom: clean shower
area, mirror, vanity top and bathroom floor: remove the towers
and replace them. If guests stay over for more than one night,
the chambermaid will cater to their needs, coming it to clean
their room. But she makes sure not to disturb the guest’s
belongings and respond to any special request.

III. my works at Hoang Diep hotel
Week 1:
On the first day , at 9 p.m, I met Ms. Nga at lobby of Hoang Diep hotel.
I gave her the recommend paper of Dong Nai university, she asked me
what I could do in her hotel and she said that her hotel didn’t have foreign
guests. I offered her to work as a receptionist in this hotel. She said” in
these months, Hoang Diep don’t have many guests and I have already had
three receptionists. So you shoult go here for one, two or three days a week
depen on my arrangement.”
After that she gave me some information about the hotel and she request
me to remember them. They are important not only for my report but also
for a receptionist in Hoang Diep hotel. She appointed me for a meeting on
Friday 18th. On that day, she would check my report and if I have any
questions about the hotel , she would answer and she would assign for me
some tasks next week. She also advice me to practice type skills.
From Monday to Friday, I didn’t go to the hotel. I used Mrs. Nga’s
information to write this report and practised general computer skills
including word, excel, typing. I also reviewed knowledge about reception’s
jobs on text books and on the internet. I also called for my classmate Bang
who was being a receptioist for Whoosho hotel in Bien Hoa city. He told
me his job in that hotel. It gave some imagine on receptionist’s job.
On the first week, I had reviewed the knowledge on general computer,
and oter skills of a receptionist such as communication skill, solving
problems, …
On Friday, I had appointment with Mrs. Nga. She arranged me go to
work on next Thursday, Friday and Saturday. My duties for these days are
make procedure on chacking in and out for guests.
The first week ended.
