BSBCRT411 Appendix 1 – Part A – The Role of Critical Thinking

1. Identify and explain two (2) key characteristics of critical thinking processes that could be used in your workplace.
Key Characteristic Explanation
1. Logic We use a rational way of moving ahead from step to another. Each step has to be verified and justified

2. Exploration and analysis We consider all available options, measure their cons and pros, assess their risks and consequences till we reach the final
decision

2. Complete the table below for the two workplace practices and include another practice from your own workplace.

Processes in the Workplace
This assessment task is to be completed in conjunction with Appendix 2
You are required to develop solutions for two different workplace limitations using a variety of critical
thinking tools and techniques. The first critical thinking task is covered in Part B of this Appendix and
wherever possible both tasks will be conducted in the workshop.
The analysis for this workplace task is to be done using Appendix 2. You MUST use at least two of the tools /
techniques which can include any of the tools and techniques provided in Appendix 2 or other tools that you
use in your workplace to critically analyse a workplace practice.
Upload Appendix 2 as evidence of your brainstorming / analysis using a minimum of TWO tools / techniques.

Second Critical Thinking Task

1. Provide an overview of the existing workplace practice you will be reviewing and explain why you
chose it.

the workplace practice in order to analyse it appropriately.
