Port of Spain, Trinidad 868.622.2181 mww.moe.gov, E: 19/6/3 FROM : Chief Education Officer Ministry of Education TO All Secondary School Principals Schools Supervisors III Principals ~ Selected Primary Schools DATE 1 29" April, 2022 SUBJECT : Postponement of May-June 2022 CXC Examinations —.s Kx Ata meeting of CXC’s Executive Council, held on Wednesday 27" April 2022, the decision was made to postpone the May-June 2022 CSEC and CAPE examinations by three (3) weeks, The May-June 2022 CSEC and CAPE examinations are now scheduled to begin on 23" May 2022; Release of Broad Topics CXC will release the broad topics for the May-June 2022 CSEC and CAPE examinations, Paper 02. The broad topics will be released to schools on 13!" May 2022; Submission of SBA Scores and Samples ‘CXC agreed to push back the absolute deadline for submission of SBAs by two (2) weeks. Principals are asked to note the following with respect to submission of SBA scores and samples: i. The deadline date for submission of CSEC SBA Scores is extended to Friday 13" May 202; ii. The deadline date for submission of CAPE SBA Scores is extended to Friday 3% June 2022: iii, The deadline for the upload of SBA Samples for subjects to be moderated online is, Friday 27" May 2022;iv. No SBA Scores and/or Samples will be accepted after the absolute deadline of July 13" 2022. v. Schools already moderated cannot make changes to the scores submitted; vi. In general, SBAs already submitted cannot be recalled. Candidates’ Timetables CXC will release the revised timetable on 4"* May 2022, CXC proposes to slide the existing. timetable back by three weeks. Examinations are expected to remain in their present sequence. Candidates’ physical timetables will not be reprinted by CXC. Schools and candidates can access general and individual timetables on CXC’s website and on the CXC’s Student Portal; Exams in Train Examinations for which papers have already been released, will continue in order to maintain integrity and equity. Kindly note the following: 1. CSEC Spanish and French oral examinations continue as scheduled. The final date has been extended by one week to 10" May 2022. II Physical Education and Sport Paper 2 (practical), CSEC Visual Arts and CAPE Art & Design (practical) all continue as schedule II The dates for the CSEC Music practicals have been revised to 12" — 20" May 2022. Please note the revised schedule sent attached hereto. IV. The date for submission of the CSEC Visual Arts Reflective Journal remains 18" May 2022, Principals are asked to be guided by these developments and bring them to the attention of all relevant teachers.
