AAPG University of Dhaka Student Chapter is one of the most active chapter in the Department

of Geology. As the advisor of this chapter, I am very pleased to see the enthusiasm and potential
among the students and executive committee of the chapter during different activities of the
chapter. I am happy to know that the chapter is applying for the L. Austin Weeks Undergraduate
Grants 2021 this year and I am hopeful and believe as advisor that if the chapter is nominated for
the grant it would be very encouraging for the chapter to arrange its planned activities on
geoscience. The chapter is arranging different programs on different topics of geoscience
continuously, even during the Covid-19 pandemic the chapter did not sit idly; the chapter arrange
different programs through online platform and it published a bulletin named “the Earth: Issue
No-02”. I think as the advisor, the chapter has enough potential to go too far in the field of
geoscience for the student of the department.

Therefore, as the faculty advisor of AAPG University of Dhaka Student Chapter, I strongly
recommend the AAPG University of Dhaka Student Chapter for the L. Austin Weeks
Undergraduate Grants 2021 and I hope the chapter will utilize the grant carefully and effectively.
