the exchange of gases taking place in plants leaf.

3A ENGAGE 1. Video on photosynthesis.
2. Instruction to set up an experiment on hydrilla plant in sunlight.
3B EXPLORE Students through the experiment observe bubbles of gas released when
hydrilla is kept in sunlight.
Teacher shows slides of leaves students observe it under the microscope and
draw diagram on the black board.
Teacher helps them in labeling the parts as guard cells and stomata.
Two cucumbers are also used to explain the concept.

3C EXPLAIN A video is shown, showing exchange of gases through the stomata.

Students then explain the process of photosynthesis through a concept map
3D ELABORATE To represent the process by using chemical equation.
3E EVALUATE Evaluate the students understanding through
a) Observation done by them
b) Answer the questions in worksheet
c) Class response.
