1. “An agreement without consideration is not valid”. Comment on the statement and explain
the meaning of consideration. Are there any cases in which the Contract Act does not
require presence of consideration?
2. What is contract of agency? What are its important characteristics? With the help of
suitable examples discuss various ways of creating agency.
3. What are essential features of contract of sale? On what basis you can differentiate between
‘sale’ and an ‘agreement to sell’ under Sales of Goods Act. Explain with the help of
suitable examples.
4. Why it is important to know the time when he property in good passes from a seller to a
buyer? Explain the rules regarding the transfer of ownership of goods from seller to the
buyer.
5. Discuss the rights of a partner under Partnership Act. Can a firm be liable for the wrongful
acts of a partner? Explain with the help of suitable examples.
6. Explain different provisions of Partnership Act related to mode of settlement of accounts at
the time of dissolution of a firm with the help of examples.
7. What is a negotiable instrument? What are the essential features of negotiable instrument?
State various presumptions made in respect of negotiable instruments.
8. Explain different modes of discharge of liability of parties to a negotiable instrument.
