DETAILED SPECIFICATION/SCOPE OF WORK

TENDER INVITED FOR: “Supply, Installation and Testing& Commissioning of FRP Based
Packaged Sewage Treatment plants to handle total domestic sewage of 20 KLD at HRDI
Andhra pradesh.”

BACKGROUND / INTRODUCTION:
FRP Based Packaged Sewage treatment plant (STP) is required to be installed for treatment
of total domestic sewage generated from Vehicle Acceptency

STP should be based on Johkasou Technology which is a combination of anaerobic plus

aerobic treatment process housed in FRP Tanks. It should containCollection cum Sludge
handling zone, Aeration zone and Sedimentation zone housed in separate FRP Tanks.
FRP Tanks should be from UL-1316 Approved Manufacturer / Vendor only.

PROCESS FLOW:
MANUAL BAR SCREEN CHAMBER:
The Raw sewage will be passed through the Manual Bar screen.The function of bar screen is
to prevent entry of solid particles/ articles. The size of the bar screen chamber will be 1*1
square mtr in brick work below the surface. The depth of the screen chamber will depends
on inward level. A screen made out of vertical bars should be places across the sewage flow.
The gap between the bars should be of 20 mm.Bar screen racks should be fabricated out of
25 mm x 6 mm bars of epoxy-coated mild steel. The screen frame is fixed in the bar screen
chamber at an angle of 60º to the horizontal, leaning away from the incoming side.

COLLECTION CUM SOLID SEPERATION ZONE

Water from Bar Screen Chamber shall be collected in Collection cum Solid Separation zone
housed in FRP Tank. It is primary sedimentation process in which settled sludge is stabilized
by anaerobic digestion.

AERATION ZONE
Water from Solid Separation Zone shall flow to fixed film Aeration zone housed in same FRP
Tank and divided by FRP Partition. It is the aerobic zone along with plastic media installed
inside the tank which in turn increases the surface area and retain micro-organism long
Enough to digest the organic substance remained. Clear water shall overflow the next
treatment chamber. Air shall be provided through blowers.

FINAL SEDIMENTATION ZONE

Water from Aeration zone shall flow to Final Sedimentation zone housed in same FRP Tank
and divided by FRP Partition. Final stage involves the sedimentation where organic wastes
are settled in the Sedimentation zone. The settled waste in the bottom of the tanks shall be
pumped back to Solid Separation Zone by providing submersible pump connected with a
timer in the control panel. This will work as a return sludge having active biomass (MLSS) to
increase the efficiency of the system and ensure the effluent quality meets the stipulated
standards.
SEWAGE CHARACTERISTICS :
Raw Sewage is of domestic type. It consists of waste from toilet, Urinal, wash basin, kitchen
and bathrooms. Following sewage characteristics shall be considered for designing the
Sewage Treatment Plant,

SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work shall include supply, installation and commissioning of FRP based 20 KLD
package STP along withAir blowers, Sludge Recycling Pump,Control Panel,hypochloride
dosing system, Piping and other equipment as mentioned in tender specification. Scope of
work shall also include design, Engineering and preparation of detail drawings (as per
requirement). General drawing of bar screen chamber and Plant Room is enclosed herewith.

Bar Screen Chamber and Plant Room will be in civil work.

The detailed product/equipment information and specifications are mentioned in tender
documents.

Prospective Indian manufacturer / Agencies / Contractors should submit the following in
their EOI documents:
1. Experience details like copy of P.O. / Letter of award including detail scope of work
related to package type domestic sewage treatment plants installed.
2. For financial capabilities, parties to submit last three years’ financial statements.
3. Ul-1316 Approved Certification of manufacturer.
4. Testing report of FRP Tank

Failure to provide the requisite submittalsmay limit a prospective manufacturer /Agencies /

Contractor’s ability in being a viable candidate for future Request for Proposal.
