Types Of genetic disorder & role of homeopathy in

improving it
Genetic disorder is any disease caused by an abnormality in the genetic make-up of an organism.
Genetic abnormality may range from a minuscule to a major — from a discreet mutation in a
single base in the DNA of a single gene to a gross chromosome abnormality involving the
addition or subtraction of a whole chromosome or a group of chromosomes.

● There are three types of genetic disorders:

○ Single-gene disorders, where a mutation affects one gene. Sickle cell anemia is
an example.
○ Chromosomal disorders, where chromosomes (or parts of chromosomes) are
missing or changed. Chromosomes are the structures that hold our genes. Down
syndrome is a chromosomal disorder.
○ Complex disorders, where there are mutations in two or more genes. Often your
lifestyle and environment also play a role. Colon cancer is an example.

Genetic tests on blood and other tissue can identify genetic disorders.

Geno Homeopathy is a synthesis of genetics and homoeopathy. The treatment line is more
precise. There are several homoeopathic medicines that actually work on those genes and help to
get the correct homoeopathic medication.
Few of the disorders are:

● Down Syndrome

Often known as trisomy 21 (presence of a copy of the third chromosome), it is an incurable, one
of the most common genetic alterations, reflected by variable learning disorders and some
physical characteristics. The infant with Down syndrome is generally born to genetically normal
parents, and no specific cause has been found to explain the existence of three chromosomes in
genes instead of two.

● CONDITION:

Individuals with Down syndrome have distinctive physical and intellectual differences. But the
most important problems they have to deal with are:

· Weak immune function;

· Deferred milestones

· Increased risk of a variety of health issues such as autoimmune conditions, heart problems,
hypothyroidism, epilepsy, blood disorders and mental disorders, etc.

● Symptoms:

· Impairment of the mind

· Stunt growth (short stature)

· Sloping eyes

· Anomalous teeth

· Hands shortened

· Short neckline

· The Protruding Phrase

· Proportionately broad tongue

· Flatheads
· Abnormal external ears

● Function of Homeopathy with Down Syndrome

· Identify the cause: the primary importance of the underlying cause of dis-ease, symptoms,
and signs is provided in the homoeopathic medicine system. As in the case of Down syndrome,
due to the presence of an extra chromosome, there are characteristic physical and mental signs.
There are many homoeopathic medications prescribed according to prenatal, natal, past and
family history.

· Constitutional – Individualized medicine: the word constitutional and individualised

medicines are widely used in homoeopathy. The purpose of constitutional treatment is to find the
best available individualized solution for a situation. The purpose of such care is to strengthen
the immune system as a whole so that a person with Down's syndrome is able to get better.

· Treat – Handle – Palliate: the term is really easy to grasp. With a detailed knowledge of
disease and homoeopathy, we categories patients to be treated, manageable and in cases where
palliation is the only choice group.

● Thalassemia

Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that causes anaemia. People suffering from
thalassemia have irregular haemoglobin production, the oxygen that carries the substance in their
blood. Their red blood cells contain only a small amount of haemoglobin, and these cells live for
a shorter period of time than average red blood cells.

● CONDITION:

These syndromes are caused by an abnormality in the rate of globine chain synthesis. This is in
contrast to the true hemoglobinopathies (e.g., Hb S and Hb C) arising from an inherited structural
defect in one of the globin chains that creates haemoglobin with irregular physical or functional
characteristics.

● Homeopathic treatment of thalassemia

The aim of homoeopathy is not only to treat the symptoms of thalassemia, but also to resolve its
underlying cause and individual susceptibility. As far as medicinal medications are concerned, a
variety of treatments are available to treat the symptoms of thalassemia that can be chosen on the
basis of the cause, sensation and manner of the complaints. The patient should visit a certified
homoeopathic doctor in person for individualised care and choice of remedies.

There are following homeopathic remedies which are helpful in the treatment of thalassemia

● Symptoms

● increasing hemoglobin

· Carcinosin, Tuberculinum, Silicea, Chininum ars, Chininum sulph, Ferrum

met, Natrum mur, Phosphorus, Radium brom, X-Ray and many other medicines.

● Sickle cell anaemia

It is a condition in which the body creates abnormally red blood cells. The cells have the
appearance of a crescent or a sickle. They don't last for as long as usual, round red blood cells.
This is contributing to anaemia.

● Symptoms:

The most common signs are pain and anaemia issues. Anemia can make you feel tired or weak.
In addition, you can have

· shortness of breath,

· dizziness

· headaches, or

· Coldness in your hands and feet.

A blood test can show if you have a trait or anaemia. Some states are testing newborn babies as
part of their newborn screening services.
● There are following remedies which are helpful in the treatment of anemia:

● Acetic acid

· Ferrum phos

· Calcarea phos

· Kali carb Lecithinum

· Natrum mur Calcarea ars

● CONCLUSION:

Homeopathy is one of the most common holistic systems for medicine. The choice of treatments
is based on the principle of individualization and similarity of symptoms, using a holistic
approach. This is the only way to restore a state of full health by eliminating all the signs and
symptoms that the patient is suffering from
