Craiova, a city full of spirituality for Christmas

Last Christmas was the best holy day for me. I spent it with my boyfriend by going at the
Christmas Fair, held in our town. It was a starry night and the Christmas atmosphere was more
dominant than usual. The people were dressed very traditional and I felt like I was in Lapland.
While we were admiring the beauty of this Christmas Fair, the smell of candies and chocolate
began to be very irresistible. It was accompanied by the clinking bells from the beautifully decorated
cottages for this wonderful holiday. Besides the bells, there were people who sang carols and I couldn’t
help but to mention that the smell from the stands of mulled wine and sweet gingerbread caressed my
nostrils.
The amusement park organized every year in our town was wonderful. The lights were very
powerful and colorful. For the first time in my life, I had got on the crazy carousel because my boyfriend
insisted on it. I was very scared by the speed with which we were spinning, but I could see the entire
Christmas Fair when I was at the top of the carousel. It was like one the fairytales my parents used to tell
me when I was little.
As a result, my town has a beautiful Christmas Fair and every time it manages to warm my heart
and bring me back to the Christmas spirit.
