into two classes, those who are to be offered employment and those who are not. Selection
is a process of choosing the right candidate from a pool of application. This process. is
established to achieve a good match between the Job requirement and the Candidates.

DEFINITION: The Selection is a process of picking the right Candidate with qualification and
Capabilities to fill the job in the organisation.

People who are satisfied their jobs they perform better.

SCOPE OF SELECTION: The Selection process involves Steps like receiving application, tests,
interviews, medical examination and final selection Right selection and placement provide
employee satisfaction which improved their and productivity and e efficiency and benefits
the Organization.

OBJECTIVES:
• To weed out ineligible employees from the list of potential hires.
• To sort out candidates who have the likelihood of success on the jobs.
• To staff the organization with qualified and high calibre candidates.
• To reduce the burden of interviewing every single candidate and reduce cost of
recruitment.
• To evaluate the success of recruitment process.
