Globalization is difficult to break down, but is affecting almost every country.

Globalization promotes the creation of an actual world society in which people are highly

interconnected. Globalization not only means sharing a high-tech culture but also the adoption of

ideas and concepts. The propagation of these ideas and ideals cannot inevitably minimize

cultural diversity. However, above all, globalization is an institutional phenomenon that leads to

the establishment of a world society governed by a common set of standards. Globalization

encourages unity around collecting ideas and promotes a global culture identity. Culture is one

area that globalization that has adversely impacted.

Globalization is becoming an overwhelming global theme. Globalization improves

cultural identity in several ways. First, people are not only cultural artifacts but subjects that can

oppose or integrate culture. Furthermore, people are closer than ever with the advancement of

science and technology. The sense of 'gathering' brought on by globalization does not contradict

diversity. In the modern age of globalization, the distinctive characteristics and characteristics of

their society are increasingly concerned. Cultural identity offers local awareness and personal

identity, culture, and the country as a whole. Globalization represents the ideology of integration

and hegemonic power in terms of research, technology, and economic growth, yet it encourages

cultural identity more profoundly. As globalization is perceived as a whole, the world is much

more dynamic and linked.

A critical dimension of the debate between cosmopolitanism and patriotism is the human

cultural identity. Since people see the country as vital to achieving social justice, freedom, and

group unity, some are concerned that the cosmopolitan people detach themselves from their

national identity and their interest in the nation's welfare. By comparison, cosmopolitans see

national identity as a barrier to create a sense of global citizenship that is important to empower
the individual to care for worldwide justice and all fellow humans' well-being. People sometimes

underestimate the various essence of the cultural identity of individuals. The dichotomous

representation of cosmopolitan and national identities represents an unrealistic image of social

identity psychology. Individuals have many social identities and use cognitive instruments to

handle the different tasks related to them. Individuals who describe themselves as cosmopolitan

world people have an integrated dual identity, embodying both nationalism and

cosmopolitanism, consistent with patriot responsibilities.

Global culture has had a tremendous impact on the definition and recognition of cultural

identities. Global culture has had a positive effect on citizens' quality of life, evidenced by the

rapid movement of people, goods, and knowledge around the world. On the contrary, the

recognition of multicultural identity has negative impacts. There is the erosion of the local

culture and the spread and adoption of the dominant culture. Some people who embrace multiple

cultures are faced with problems associated with racial discrimination, especially if they are not

natives. The Irish culture is gaining popularity, overshadowing other cultures. Multicultural

identity and global culture hinder the identification and recognition of separate cultures as the

global culture is embraced.

Globalization also impacts identity and general cultural practices in both positive and

negative ways. Technology enables people to remove interaction barriers and communicate

globally. Globalization allows the world to be identical culturally. People are no longer limited to

space locations and can communicate with people who share a common culture, dialect, or faith.

Several people around the world have adopted Irish culture and music. While some think it is

advantageous, others are against it. Globalization has led to the erosion of culture in developing
countries. People are now failing to listen to their music, advancing other people’s culture. In an

age of globalization, sociocultural systems evolve and change how people act and think.

In the world of ever-expanding global influence, race continues to unravel with the

confusion of terms like ethnicity and culture being experienced. The race is described as "a

human group that shares similar physical characteristics. The word "ethnicity" is more widely

analyzed in terms of "large groups classified by their racial, national, tribal, religious, linguistic

or cultural background. Ethnic origin determines a person's cultural values. The word is often

mistaken for a culture that is a lifestyle for a group of individuals. One is born with ethnicity, but

culture is learned when cultural values are impacted in the person. One can choose either to

embrace culture or to adopt another depending on the environment. Ethnicity, race, and culture

contribute to a person's identity and should be recognized without discrimination.

Globalization has impacted the spread of ideas and ideologies, which have helped the

spread and tensions between the major religious denominations such as Christianity and Islam.

Some people who moved to the United States in search of better lives and to earn a living

brought Islam to the country, which originated from the Middle East. Despite being citizens of

the United States, some Muslims have been accused and religiously abused due to the alleged

affiliations with terrorists. The presence of modern means of communication and infrastructure

have aided in the spread of religious ideology. The effects of globalization cannot be tied to

economic growth only but also with the change in cultural beliefs in terms of religion.

The issues of interconnection have influenced the factors that affect cultural identity.

Identity development and identity determination are affected by many inner and outer influences,

such as community, families, beloved ones, gender, race, culture, locations, privileges, press,

desires, image, personality, and personal circumstances.

Globalization has caused emergence of global identity which is in contrast to patriotism.

Affiliation to the country and the world can coexist. One can care for the country while

maintaining humanity towards the earth. The army's service is one of the patriotic acts that

people embrace while avoiding discriminative actions. Global identity breads a global citizen

that knows the wider world and understands it. Global citizens play an active part in their

communities and work together to make our world genuinely peaceful, safe, and equitable. Some

of the things to be done to become a global citizen are developing a sense of world affairs,

thinking about one's values and what is essential, learning in the world, to challenge ignorance

and intolerance. In their regional, state, and global communities, global people are also active.

They also gather evidence and express their views. Directly related to global citizen is global

culture. Global culture is the set of shared ideas, meanings, hobbies, and values around the

world. Extended social relations characterize it, shared norms and knowledge, and collective

cultural identities.

In the fast moving world there is race which is an analytical tool in understanding the

society. Racial significance dominates society, ranging from forming identity groups to the

shaping the state territory of organized political change. Relating to race are culture and religion.

Culture focuses on the human being as its social identity, while religion is linked to God or the

entire universe's Maker. The terms are vital in identifying oneself.

In conclusion, globalization and cultural identity are interconnected with the former

having adverse effects on the latter. The loss of cultural identity can be directly be tied to

globalization which encourages a global culture. Through interactions, it is important to embrace

both the global and cultural identities to foster better understanding and motivation behind

people’s actions
