I believe the supplement war and debates should be left handled as is now under the DSHEA

because of their effectiveness and governmental support meaning they abide by the
constitution and would do anything for the good of the nation whereas if it was left under
individual hands, they would do it to benefit their own pockets not looking at the big picture
which is causing damage to human lives as result. A typical example will be “Purity First” as
mentioned in the video. She started making this supplement in her home because she worked
in a lab, she felt she had enough experience to handle lives which brings me to the next point
that supplements need to thoroughly and vigorously checked for their safety and effectiveness
before being sold. Humanity cannot be exchanged for a price but that is exactly what this
industry is doing. We as a nation are suffering because the government is not putting enough
sanction in this industry, which is causing lives, changing genetics to some people, and maybe
even epigenetics as mentioned by some patients that took B50 vitamin sold by purity first. The
FDA and DSHEA needs to step up their efforts in combating such issues because even with
purity first there was a slow response when lives were at risk.
