the same intended outcomes? Whether
your answer is Yes or No, explain it. 10 pts
Yes, Music and arts belong to the teaching of four separate subjects but it is considered
as one in MAPEH.

Yes, Music and arts share the same intended outcomes and approaches and rooted on
the same philosophies. Based on a curriculum guide I have seen the outcomes of music and arts are
the same. The learner demonstrates understanding of salient features of music and art of the
Philippines and the world, through appreciation, analysis, and performance, for self-development, the
celebration of Filipino cultural identity and diversity, and the expansion of one’s world vision. In my own
understanding the learner must demonstrate its own expression of their own understanding of arts and
music in relation to Filipino culture.
3.How about the approaches in teaching
Music ? are they applicable in teaching Arts
? 10 pts
Yes, approaches in music can be applicable to arts since music and arts are both students
centered that the learners must have experiential learning therefore approaches from music can
be considerably done to arts. Both are based on spiral learning where students’ skills and
knowledge are enhanced through gradual teaching of concept from a foundation or basic
knowledge to advance so approaches can be the same in arts and music.

teaching Music and Arts.10pts
“The learner demonstrates understanding of salient features of music and art of the Philippines and the
world, through appreciation, analysis, and performance, for self-development, the celebration of Filipino
cultural identity and diversity, and the expansion of one’s world vision.” This intended outcome or goal
of music and arts is that the students must know its importance and the appreciation of our own music
and arts that are really made from the Philippines. The learners should be proud of our own cultural
music and arts that can be shown to other nation with dignity and pride. The goals and outcome should
develop creativity and performance of the learners in music and arts. It’s also said when you study music
and arts your IQ level can be also enhanced.

5. Research about the Multicultural

approach in teaching music and arts. 10pts
Multicultural approach in teaching music and arts is the approach in teaching where other nations or
global culture in music and arts are being discussed so it can also be appreciated. It can also empower
the learner’s creation of music or arts that can be appreciated globally. Once the diversity of music and
arts culture are understood by every nation difference of every individual can be understood with
respect.
6. cite an examples of methods, principles
and approaches in teaching music .10 pts
Student centered must be used because music is a performance-based subject and it needs learners to
experience creating or playing a music. They will learn with proper demonstration of the teacher while
learners doing the learnings.

Teaching music should be in spiral progression since music could not be teach without the learners
mastering every lesson. The foundation of knowledge as it goes on is really important. Past knowledge
can be a reference to a creation of a new knowledge or we can say knowledge learned from the
previous lesson can be used in the future lessons.

Active teaching should also be used since teachers’ guidance and students’ participation are in need
since in music includes musical instruments which could not be learned without student and teacher
interaction. Basics or the foundation of music’s also needs interaction from the notes to beats and etc. it
really needs interaction of teacher and students.

Multicultural approach is also in need to have a knowledge or insight from other culture of their music
or arts. To accepts their difference from our difference makes all individual respect their own cultural
music or arts.

In music it should also be integrative learner brings together prior knowledge and experiences to
support new knowledge and experiences. By doing this, learners draw on their skills and apply them to
new experiences at a more complex level.
