An Analysis of ‘Click Up’ Advert on Youtube.

Digital marketing, just like traditional marketing, is the type of marketing to keep

customers and stimulate sales in the future. Digital communication tools make it possible to

connect and build long-term relationships with customers (Stokes, R. & Minds of Quirk, 2013).

ClickUp is a customizable productivity platform. It is a cloud-based collaboration and

project management tool suitable for businesses of all sizes and industries that boast being able

to replace other workplace apps. Its features include communication and collaboration tools, task

assignments and statuses, alerts, and a task toolbar. (Crunchbase, 2017). Due to my interaction

with an app, I often get to see ClickUp adverts and this is why I would be analyzing it in line

with our study on communication this week.

The ClickUp advert was more rational than emotional as it is aimed to encourage the

audience to see reasons with them why they need the app and the benefits of using it. The advert

reflects and promotes the functional benefits or value of ClickUp. It mainly tried to emphasize

how ClickUp can replace multiple productivity apps, thereby enabling users to have all their

tasks and projects in one place.

The advert is targeted at businesses that would like to increase their team collaboration

productivity as well as individuals and students who need to keep track of their ongoing projects.

It offers any of these categories of users a seamless workflow, high productivity, adaptability,

and affordability.

People would likely share this because they mentioned they have a forever plan. Based

on the comments in the comment section, it is obvious that several are pleased with this tool after

switching from another collaboration tool.

This ClickUp advert is suitable for both B2B and B2C. For the B2B, they tried to get it

across to them as a team collaboration and productivity tool. The B2C will see it as personal

project management or task management tool.

According to Kelsay (2017), "leads developed through employee social marketing

converts more frequently than other leads, and socially engaged companies are 57% more likely

to increase sales lead. Leads generated through employee social marketing are seven times likely

to convert than nonemployee social marketing.

The three social media platforms I consider to be most suitable for a customer testimonial

for ClickUp are LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube. LinkedIn is a highly professional platform,

where ClickUps main target audience is. Testimonials from LinkedIn have a higher level of

persuasion and influence. Twitter is also quite influential and it is a go-to place for access to

news and information. Testimonial on Twitter will go a long way. Lastly, YouTube is a place

where you can access different perspectives on things. The comments section is usually helpful

to know what to expect or how things are.

In conclusion, a good understanding of the product or service and knowledge of its

market will make it easy to identify where and when to advertise or run a sales promotion, and

the right communication channel.
