So after that to empathize with the people we interviewed our closest elderly.

The pain points are reflected in the slide.

Our findings in the survey and the interview are almost similar that they forget to take medicine on
time, they are unable to read the text written on medicine, as many medicines are of similar
packaging, they often end up taking wrong medicine and they were also complaining that when they
are out of medicine there is no one around to refill for them.

Let us look on how we plotted our empathy mapping.

If we take a look at a does quadrant, we can say that people often use simple plastic boxes to keep
their medicine together which often becomes chaotic and causes confusion to them.

Now that we have a good hold of the pain points and we did our empathy mapping we jotted down
the stakeholders, majority of which are enlisted here like drug controller general of india, pharma
industry, senior citizens, hospitals, local clinics among others.

How to gain more insights into the problem we saw numerous videos and refered to several
research papers and acquired further pain points to work on.

We get to know that measuring the right quantity of medicine is also a challenge for many of the
elderly, they even forget to take medicines on time and due to weak eyesight and minuscule font
size it becomes very difficult for them to take correct intake of medicine.
