Dear Sir,

1) Design of segment lifter not submitted along with Method statement and please note that
design and drawing should be proof checked by Proof Consultant and IIT.

2) Method statement should include details of segment transportation from camp to Loading
jetty and shifting to location of Erection.

3) New lifting equipment shall be proof load rested prior to its first use and should provide
certification from manufacture.

If lifter accessories are reassembled in site it should be tested as per IS 14470-1997.

Testing should be done by approved third party agency, Test certificates required for all
accessories like Stress bar, shackles, wire rope etc.

4) Details of pull down cylinder, rear tie down system, rear support and front barge need to be
explained in Method statement.

5) Detailed drawing to be submitted showing 36mm thread bar with embedded length in Pier
table. The Main rail upper beam and Lower beam drawing not Clear in Method statement.

6) strength requirement of stitch concrete should be confirmed from designer prior to starting
of Temporary and permanent stressing work.

7) Skilled and trained engineers to be deployed in lifting operations, it is better to submit

credentials of Persons involved in Erection work for our information.

8) The rear tie down system need to be detailed to allow for geometrical variations due to
camber and segment gradient. It has shown that their is two type of rear down system at 5
meter and 4.5 meter.

Detailed explanation required for these two types.

9) As you have mentioned that load of Lifting beam should be released after stressing of
Temporary and permanent tendon, this stressing load may effect the load on segment
which is given by segment lifter this need clarification.

10) Method Statement should include geometric survey, maintaining level and camber as per
drawing.

11) All materials / Accessories/ equipment like Thread bar, Epoxy glue, Jack's, etc using in
segment Erection need to be tested and report to be submitted.

12) Temporary PT bar destressing details not mentioned in Method statement.

13) Safety check list, work permits to be made for Each activity in Segment Erection procedure.

it has to ensure that whether remote control is built with safety features to revert back to
automatic safe mode, when remote control has signal problem or if remote is failed. Is
there any options to operate manually?

17) Please submit the Credentials of NRS (Lifter manufacture) previous experience, projects in
