You will need to

- Read through the article to gain an impression of the information (its content and
relevance to your project). As you read, underline or highlight the main points.
- Re-read the text, making notes of the main points.
- Put away the original text and rewrite your notes in your own words.
- Start to write your summary (e.g., to start with integral citation format plus the main
idea of the source)
- Mention the other points
- If necessary, change the order of the points to make the summary more logical
- Re-read your work to check whether you’ve included all the important information and
left out details such as examples and explanations.
