Materials: Blackboard, chalk, textbook (Text 2), a photocopy of the dictation passage
Description of students:
They are a group of fresh graduates who have just directly promoted from the school
where English is used as their medium of teaching, therefore their English level is
knowledges and experiences of having formal dictation as they have been doing
dictation at regular intervals during primary school. However, specific rules and
instructions are necessary to be announced every time before the dictation as some of
them may be forgotten. Moreover, the seen passage (Text2) has been clearly
prescribed for them to study (two weeks before the dictation date).

(a) Derive the meanings of the listened content into actual spelling.
