In writing introduction, you have to think of catchy devices or hooks that would get the interest of
your readers. This can be done through the use of questions, a direct quotation, a startling fact, or vivid
description.
Activity 2. Intro’Action!
Direction: Using what you have learned about writing a research report and the notes that you have
gathered in the previous learning segments, you can now write draft of the introduction of your
research. Remember that writing is a recursive process. Do not be discouraged if you have to gather
more information to support the claims you have stated in your thesis statement. Also, you may be
encountering writer’s block; do not feel frustrated if words evade you. Refer to the notes and outline you
