ACTIVITY
Date/Time:

April 19 – 21, 2021

10:00 – 11:00 am

Reading activity) ---

Learning to read is about listening and understanding as well as working out what is printed on the page. Just
like a hearing child, deaf children need a language that they can draw from for understanding and expression,
especially during the process of learning to read. Hearing children learn to read by making the connection
between the spoken language they have learned and the words they see printed on a page. Since I am handling
a multi-grade level, I made a schedule for them for the pre-test. In pre-test, it includes the alphabet both in
lowercase and upper case letter. The learners are asked to sign the letters flashing on their screen for me to be
able to assess if the child really recognizes some letters. Then, the learners are also asked to write down the
letters of the alphabet flashing on the screen. By this, I am able to see if the child can write and read through
sign language. It started in April 19 until April 21.
