Pilot.

My passion for aviation started the same way it does for many people, watching planes soar across
the sky and dreaming of piloting those amazing aircraft. I am interested in doing engineering,
aeronautical engineering, because planes are very fascinating. They fascinate me; the way they fly, their
workings, their design and everything - it interests me. Surge
on. I was convinced I was going to become a surgeon because I wanted to work with my hands and
surgery was cool.

It is important to consider the views of our family on career planning. The career planning session with
my parents has helped me in making up my mind for possible career pathways.

Communication Skills
Communication is a crucial element in every pilot’s job. For the safety of everyone, pilots need to be in
constant contact with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and those aboard the plane.
I will improve this through practice.

Analytical Skills
It is the ability to study the information, apply logic to find patterns, and find the ideal solution in a
timely and efficient manner.
I will improve this through hobbies. Hobbies such as chess, puzzles, critical/active reading, learning a
new language, a musical instrument and playing pool can stimulate your mind to think analytically and
critically.

Good motor skills

Hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and attention to detail are all absolute musts for anyone doing
small but vital jobs like severing blood vessels, cutting out tumors or stitching wounds. You need to be
able to keep a very steady hand under pressure!
I will improve this through purposeful play.

I need to improve my communication skills.

I get to improve my communication skills by talking to so many new people whilst giving referrals.
I will improve on this from now on.

I need to improve my analytical skills.

I get to improve my analytical skills by reading daily newspapers, different books and even watching
movies.
I will improve on this from now on.

I need to improve my good motor skills.

I get to improve my good motor skills by partaking in arts and crafts.
I will improve on this from now on.

1.'Career planning' is an ongoing and cyclical process and not a one-time chance to 'decide what you
want to do for the rest of your life'. It is important for high school students because it helps us build the
skills, knowledge and plans to be future ready.
2.Career planning is not a one-time event- it is an ongoing process that you'll have to address as your
priorities and interests shift.
3. Work doesn't have to be stressful. There are four areas to consider before settling in my job/career
choice. They are my personality, interests, skills and values.
4.The career planning process has four components: (1) Self Assessment, (2) Career Exploration, (3)
2Career Identification, and (4) Action Plan.
1.This activity will be of great help to my future career planning. Every career cluster has different
pathways to check out. It helps you focus on careers that align with your interest.
2.Choosing a career cluster might be a simpler way for us students to investigate careers.
3. Whatever the decision, finding a career that suits your needs and preferences will allow you to be
more confident, and perform better at work. Choosing the right career can be difficult and
overwhelming, but knowing your personality, preferences and personal needs can guide you to the
perfect career path that's meant for you.
