1. This is an open-book examination.


2. Students MUST select and answer 2 over 4 questions from the questionnaire.
Provide your answers using MS Word. When you complete, submit your file
(FULL_NAME.docx) via your Blackboard account on time.
3. The length of the final exam is 120 minutes. Another 10 minutes will be given to
compensate for the time of downloading and uploading your files. Submit your file to
Blackboard BEFORE 12:25 p.m.
4. Cheating, including: copying from other students and plagiarism from any kind
of sources will cause a serious penalty. Under 20% of plagiarism checked is acceptable.
5. Late submissions with any reasons won’t be accepted.

Question 1: (50 points)
Use brief information in the Case 6.1 (Business Ethics Now by Ghillyer), and write an
essay about Ponzi scheme. Your essay must answer the following questions:
- What are Ponzi schemes? Explain with any suitable examples. 15 points
- What are your suggestions/advices to a person who intends to invite you to a
business that has some signals of Ponzi scheme? (including supports from the roles of
standards of whistle-blowing) 20 points
- What are the roles of government in controlling Ponzi schemes?15 points

Question 2: (50 points)


Use the case of Acecook Vietnam/or Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corp to explain how six
characteristics of a tough market impact on business’s ethical behaviours? What are your
suggestions to make this corporation (e.g., Acecook; Formosa; etc.) to become a
transparent organization?
