Campaign Speech

“Stop looking at everything you can’t have and look at everything you
do”

Ladies and Gentleman, I am very thankful that I am given a chance to speak

today in the wonderful place here in the great heartland of the Philippines. It is much
an honour to be speaking from this podium, with this remarkable people of the
Philippines.

Our country has come to a crossroad, and now you have the power to change
the political landscape of the Philippines. Our ancestors have fought off wars to give
this country freedom, we have been given the privilege of liberty. As I take a glance
outside the landscape of this city, my eyes have been searching for something that is
simple to say but hard to do. When will we change? When will change happen? We
have been given the freedom, the liberty and yet all I see is poverty, crimes, and
worst of it all, corruption. Right now, we have an opportunity, a chance to salvage
our country from this poor educational system. Together, let’s change the political
landscape of this country. We are made of all those who have built and broken us.
Let those downfalls be the bridge for a better future for the next generation. Let’s
give the people of this country what they need now what they want. A great country
is measured by the quality of the lives of the people who live in it.

Change won’t come from one person. It will take all of us. I believe in
collaboration, you didn’t wake up today because you wanted to, the Good Lord did
that, You do not just wake up and become the butterfly, growth is a process. Stop
wasting time on pondering what the country could give you but instead what can you
give for your beloved country. Let us take the first move, let us take action. And let
us move boldly so that our children and our children’s children can look back and
say, “I am glad that they moved boldly on this.” Thank you!
