Instructions:

There are 5 minutes for students' preparation. Each student will pick one of the topics.

There are two parts of the test. In part 1, student has about 2 minutes to talk about his/ her
personal information (name, family, interest, future job.…). In part two, each student will
have a 3-minute talk.

Marking criteria

Wide range of vocabulary

Accurate use of lexis and grammatical

Topic 1: Describe an incident

You should say:

 where it took place & who was with you

 what happened
 how it made you feel
 and explain why you remember it

Topic 2: Describe your dream job

You should say:

 what is the job

 what qualification or experience you would need for this job
 what do you think the most difficult thing about the job would be
 and explain why it is your dream job.

Topic 3: Describe a turning point in your life

You should say:

 what it was about

 was it positive or negative
 how it affected your life
 and explain why this was an important change in your life.

Topic 4: Describe a person you admire

You should say:

 Who he/she is
 How you know him/ her
 What characteristics this person has
 And explain why you admire this person.
Topic 5: Describe a famous person you would like to meet

You should say:

 who is he/ she

 what is he /she famous for
 what you would do if you meet him /her
 And explain why you would like to meet him/ her.

Topic 6: Describe an activity you do that keeps you fit and healthy

You should say:

 what is the activity

 how often you do it
 how you do it (or, how easy or difficult it is to do)
 and explain how it helps to keep you fit.
