Example files instructions

Example file(s) for this module have been placed within this ZIP archive.
You should extract the file(s) from the zip archive and place them in a
convenient location on your local hard drive.

The follow-along demonstration in the video uses a copy of these* files


which have been placed in the following folder location:

C:\Downloaded Example Files

* Please ensure that only the example files for this module are available for
you to follow along with video demonstrations and conduct exercises.
Files from other modules are not suitable for this module.

Open an existing app:

Cloud Editions of Qlik Sense (Business, Enterprise SaaS) instructions:

• Use the Add new button to Upload app.

• Drag & drop the example QVF file


onto the resulting drop target.

• Upload to your Personal space.

• Click to open uploaded app.

Qlik Sense Desktop instructions:


• Drag & drop the example QVF file
onto the Qlik Sense Desktop hub.

Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows instructions:


• May require the assistance of your Qlik Sense Administrator to Import the app into your
Personal > Work space, using the Qlik Management Console.

Create a new app:

Cloud Editions of Qlik Sense (Business, Enterprise SaaS) instructions:


• Use the Add new button to Create a New analytics app. Name the app, place in your
Personal space, and open.

• When adding a local data source, using Add data from files and other sources, click
on Data files to navigate to the location of the downloaded example files.
• When adding a local data source, using the Script editor, from within the Data
connections panel of the Data load editor, locate the existing connection titled:
DataFiles and click the Select data icon to select a data source.

Qlik Sense Desktop instructions:

• Click the Create new app button. Name and open the app.

• When adding a local data source, using Add data from files and other sources, click
on My computer to navigate to the location of the downloaded example files.
• When adding a local data source, using the Script editor, from within the Data
connections panel of the Data load editor, create a new connection, choose Folder,
and navigate to the location of the downloaded example files. You will have to name
your connection and click the Select data icon to select a data source.

Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows instructions:


• Click the Create new app button. Name and open the app.

• When adding a local data source, using Add data from files and other sources, click
on Attached files to navigate to the location of the downloaded example files.
• When adding a local data source, using the Script editor, from within the Data
connections panel of the Data load editor, locate the existing connection titled:
Attached files and click the Select data icon to select a data source.
