A professional teacher is not only knowledgeable about
his topic, but also capable of passing that information on to
his students. He piques pupils' enthusiasm in learning, identifies their deficiencies, and assists them in overcoming such weaknesses. He does not restrict himself to textbooks, but rather broadens their perspective of the vast universe in all of its varied dimensions—physical, metaphysical, philosophical, and so on. A teacher, in metaphor, is like a mountain top that not only overlooks the valley at its foothills, but also the horizons beyond.
