Computer Hardware Parts

1. Motherboard- is the most prominent printed circuit board in common-purpose computers

and further expandable systems. It carry and enables communication between many of the
crucial electronic parts of a system, such as the central processing unit and memory, and come
up with connectors for other peripherals

2. Central Processing Unit (CPU)- the part of a computer in which functioning are controlled
and executed.

3. Hard Drive- is a section of hardware used to store digital content and data on computers.

4. Computer Memory- is the warehouse space in the computer, where data is to be

manufactured and instructions essential for processing are stored.

5. Power Supply- a device providing power to electronic equipment

6. Heat Sink-is a part that increases the heat flow away from a hot device.

7. Optical Drive- is an inner or outer computer disk drive that make use of laser beam
technology to read and write data.

8. System Fan- is a piece of fan inside, or attached to, a computer case make use for active
cooling. Fans are utilize to draw cooler air into the case from the outside, throw out warm air
from inside and move air across a heat sink to cool a certain component.

9. Floppy Disk- also known as diskette, is a ejectable magnetic storage medium that authorizes
recording of data.
10. Video Card- is an augmentation card that enables the computer to send graphical
information to a video display device including a monitor, TV, or projector.
