INTRODUCTION

Today it can be seen that English is a very important language in the world,
that is why it is also important for a systems analyst to have a great
knowledge of technical vocabulary, the analyst has to be very expressive
and assertive when it comes to speaking, for example, when making a
negotiation with a foreign person and highlighting their linguistic abilities is
something very important.

That is why in this activity, we will learn a great technical vocabulary that will
help us improve our linguistic abilities.
GLOSSARY

1.technology: it is the ability to transform or change something that already exists


to build something new or give it another function.

2.system: set of elements that are related to each other to achieve a specific
objective.

3.technical equipment: people who are involved in managing the technical


operations in this case in the creation of a software.

4.servers: system that provides resources, data, services, or programs to other


computers over a network.

5.storage devices: Device that stores information and different types of programs,
files, data, etc. For example SSD and HDD.

6.Algorithm: It is a set of ordered operations that allows to make a calculation and


find the solution of a type of problem.

7.Command: instruction that a user gives to the computer's operating system to


perform a certain task.

8.programming language: Writing system for the precise description of algorithms


or computer programs.

9.Diagram: a diagram is a graph that presents schematically information.

10.computers: Electronic machine that is to perform specific tasks.

11.users: Who usually uses a service.

12.pattern: It is a technique that allows the resolution of problems of different


functions.

13.skills: A person's ability to do something correctly and easily.


14.Technical specifications: They are contract documents that define the
standards, requirements and procedures that will be used in the construction of the
work.

15.printers: device used to print the selected information contained in it.

16.peripheral appliances: hardware that serves as the interface between the user
and the computer.

17.software: It is everything that we can see but not touch, for example programs,
files and systematic procedures.

18.Data sheets: Visual representation of the data contained in a table.

19.project development: It is the way in which a project is developed, such as its


structuring, its way of acting and its contents.

20.suppliers: They are the ones who are in charge of supplying other people with
what is necessary.

21.operation: is the execution of some action

22.hardware: it is everything we can see and touch, for example a mouse a screen
a printer.

23.structures: is the organization or order of data, files etc.

24. virus attacks: They are corrupt or damaged files that can damage a device or
can affect it in some way without knowing it is there.

25.document: Support with which something is proven or accredited, such as a


title, a profession, a contract, etc.

26.motherboard: Main component of the computer that serves to connect and


identify the different devices, components or peripherals to the system.

27.keyboard: Device that allows command control of the device in question, for
example the computer.

28.High-tec-High technology: It is the most advanced technology available.


29.hardware: physical elements that make up a computer or computer system.

30.architecture: organization of the components that make up a computer system


and the semantics or meaning of the operations that guide its function.

31.upgrade: move from one situation to a higher one, for example, upgrading a computer
or buying a better one.

32.scheduler: Person who reviews all the source code of a computer software to
carry out certain tasks.
