The Mad King by Edgar Rice

Essay

The history is from a small kingdom in Europe, and an ambitious uncle that want to

steal his nephew throne who will even use murder to further their ends. This story

has action, battles, intrigue, and a nearly perfect hero that gets into and out of some

very sticky situations. The mad king shows us that people's ambition sometimes can

be so great that it will make us do wild and ruthless things even with our family.

The ambition is something that human beings have dealt with since the beginning of

time and it is something that can take hold of anyone no matter what relationship that

person has with you. The Writer William Stafford (2015) says in a page, The

American gets the chance a few times to 'steal' the throne, however, he doesn’t but

his uncle want it with all his desire.

Even our closest relative can be consumed by ambition and wanting what belongs to

us. The Writer Cindy Allen (2015) says in a page that this story is a sort of adventure

set in fiction European country and a hero who looks like the imprisoned king who's

fighting the evil grand vizier for the throne. That shows us that we have to be careful

with who we let come into our lives and who we allow to trust.

We should not trust everyone, regardless of whether they are family or not, since it
has been clear both in this story and in many more that have occurred throughout

history that anyone can fail you. The Writer Julie Davis (2016) says in a page, the set

of events are a bit coincidental, but it’s so awesome all the same. Barney is a

badass, and he does what has to be done, to not only figure out where the real Mad

King is, but to save all of Lutha from the tyranny that has been Peter of Blentz’s

reign.

At the end I think that this history shows us some bad things about the people and

their ambition and the little confidence we should have in these but not everything is

really about that and being suspicious of everyone, but knowing who to trust and to

what extent we can trust. Teachings that I think I leave this story is that you give time

to your relationships, take care of people who are faithful and have affection for you,

like your friends and family. And finally, learn to forgive, which I think is something

that all humans should do, because if God forgive us for all the bad things that we

do, who are we not to forgive a friend or family member of ours.
