Consensus theory is a social theory that follows a widespread agreement of social order which leads to a
social change in the institution, provided by a fair political and economic system. In relation to classroom
situation, it maintains an equilibrium condition which means every student observes norms standards,
rules, and values, which makes the behavior of the school and the society as a whole.
Conflict theory is another type sociological theory that emphasize the dominance of some social groups.
The social order is manipulated and controlled by the dominant groups. Social change isn't fair
specifically in low classes, which leads them to be obedient workers. There is social inequality involves
where the schools practice those working classes those unequal positions of being a lower class member
of society. They call this role of education as a hidden curriculum.
Structural functionalist is a more integrated and cooperative that binds the institutions together. Social
order plays an important role in every members where it will protect us from any conflicts as well us it
keeps the society be in harmony, stable and balanced. It will lead us into an equilibrium society. In
education, socialization is a must where the students learn the knowledge, attitudes, and values by their
environment. Also, the achievement of the students are based in placing in the labour market. Those
students who got high achievement will be placed in the higher job and those . students who got lower
achievement will be placed in lower job.
Interactionist is an interaction between people where it is mainly based on the thoughts and ideas of the
human beings, give meaning on their lives and the world around them. This realizations of themselves
will be based in making their decisions and taking action in their daily lives. Individuals are shaped and
are influenced by the mannerisms of society, culture and identities of others in a means of interaction.
This is an interaction of schools and the society where knowledge is broad.
