Reflect on and analyze, the readings and other assignments in this unit.

  Write a reflective essay/ journal-type

entry that describes a constructivist, IB type lesson activity you could do in a classroom (current or future,

depending on if you are an in-service teacher or pre-service teacher).  Note the following for your lesson

activity: PYP or MYP; lesson subjects covered (trans-disciplinary); likely materials needed for the activity;

steps to complete the lesson activity; assessment ideas; and one potential challenge to completing this lesson

activity. This is a brainstorming assignment for reflective purposes; therefore, you can use this as a

developmental basis for future use in a classroom.

Constructivism is a construction on the objective that people diligently establish or create their own

understanding and that actuality is set on by the proficiency as a novice and the novices use their former

expertise as a basis and improve on it with contemporary commodities that they understand (Medwell et al.,

n.d.).

The PYP is a program where students decided the chance to share their comprehension of an authentic topic or

subject they've envelop and it's a prominent way to assist students to contemplate on all their education while

growing capabilities of demonstration and evaluation. This is one of the ultimate proficiencies of the IB Primary

Years Program finished at the conclusion of the last year as part of the exhibition learners will be motivated to

inspect and record their comprehension of key subjects and understand from each other (International

Baccalaureate, n.d.).

By investigating subjects and displaying their perception at the exhibition students can present how they

incorporate all these traits and grasp them into statements as part of their understanding and viable proficiency.

The exhibition also gives students the opportunity to invest subjects from a span of separate viewpoints and

paid attention to other students and acknowledge their opinions. This can assist them taking in fresh

understanding and they are quite likely able to use their education in the future. The exhibition also assists to

join PYP learners as part of a group that contemplate on their PYP research proficiency on the whole and acts as

a stride regarding the following part of their academic trip as they progress from the PYP (International

Baccalaureate, n.d.).

The future requests a distinct kind of learner that the progeny of learners will be requested to answer some of

the world's greatest and nearly all composite issues through IB. Significant and pertinent teaching occasions are

provided to all learners and motivate them to develop into analytic geniuses, issue fixers and inventors who

strive to make the world a finer place. Understanding is not beheld-ed through a spectacle of awareness or

learning to a trialed policy. Learners display proficiency of ideas in distinct ways as they will in reality and

educational hardship is strongly implanted in every category and there are occasions for learners to grow their

skills and raise new ones within the IB educational structure. IB assessment provides routes for each learner to

extend their capacities and the IB evaluation gives an ample depiction of students in school. The analysis will

assist learners to recognize their robustness and supply routes for them to boost their educational proficiency.

A classroom example will be that students are now working on their PYP exhibition with the homeroom

teachers and mentors. The transdisciplinary theme is Sharing the Planet. This is a part of the UOI classroom

lessons and is done at least once a week. Below is the project description for your reference.

Students have so far been on task and completed their project work as it is artistic and crafty with digital skills

required for them to use. The real struggle is theory part of the inquiry. Therefore, my plan of action is for

students to individually use Cornell notes to research each line of inquiry, so that the information gathered by 4

students can be reviewed and the theory can be constructed.
