LONG CONVERSATION
Learning Objectives:
- Mahasiswa mampu mengantisipasi topik pada percakapan dan pertanyaan Bahasa
Inggris.
- Mahasiswa mampu mengerjakan beberapa soal latihan untuk antisipasi topik.

REVIEW

Do you still remember the passages (recorded materials) which appear in the Listening
Comprehension section in TOEFL test? What are they?

In Listening Comprehension section, there are:

1. part A
Short Dialogues (two-line dialogues between two speakers → 30 short dialogues and
30 questions)
2. part B
Long Conversations (60-90 second conversations on casual topics between students
→ two conversations and seven to nine questions)
3. part C
Talks (60-90 second talks about school life or academic subjects → three lectures and
11-13 questions)

In meting 3-7 we have learned some of the language skills and strategies which will be needed
in Part A (Short Dialogues). Now in meeting 9-11 we are going to learn about some of the
language skill and strategies in Part B (Long Conversations)
