Discovering

Einstein's Wave-Particle Theory

Albert Einstein, a physicist, proposed a new
electromagnetic radiation theory in 1905. It
is called the wave particle theory.

This theory elaborate how electromagnetic

radiation can be both particle and wave.
Einstein claimed when an electron returns
to lower energy level the energy released as
discrete “packet” of energy. And we call that
PHOTON. Based on Einstein, photon
resembles particles but moving like a wave.

Explanation at Energy of A Photon

Photon is not a fixed amount of energy. Instead,

the amount of energy in a photon is determined
by the electromagnetic wave's frequency.
Photons have more energy in higher-frequency
waves.

Evidence for the Wave-

Particle Theory
Evidence was discovered to support it. Scientists shone
laser light through two slits in a light-blocking material
barrier. They photographed the light passing through the
slits with a special camera that was extremely sensitive to
light. The tiny pinpoints of light passing through the
double slits were visible in photos. The pinpoints
accumulated in bands that resembled interfering waves
when the camera was exposed to light for a long time.
Therefore we can say that the light seems to consists of
