2.1 Warning notes and symbols

In this instruction manual following warning notes and respectively symbols are used for
particularly very important instructions.

Caution!

This symbol is used, when improper obeying or non-obeying of the operating instructions,
work instructions, prescribed work flows and similar, which may lead to
- Injuries or
- Accidents.

Attention!

This caption "Attention!" is used, when improper obeying or disregarding from instructions or
prescribed work flows and similar, which may cause
- Damages to the basket and/or personnel operating it.

Note!

This caption "Note!" is used, when you should focus your attention to a special work to be
done.

Instruction!

Instructions must be absolutely obeyed and implemented.

The user / operator must pay attention to the following:

- The user must understand the instructions and be able to execute them,
- The user has to obey the instructions strictly and carefully.

3. Transport

Transport the unit with a forklift truck / an elevating truck with

appropriate lifting power and suitable forks.

Caution!

Protect the machine from frost!

After the test run, BHT properly drained the machine.
For each further transport in cold regions the machine should
Caution! be drained again. Otherwise components can get damaged

The negligence of the safety instructions may have bad

consequences of the machine performance and an
endangerment for both personnel and environment. The
Caution! negligence of the safety instructions leads to the loss of any
warranty and/or compensation claims.

4. General safety notes

• Obey the adjustments and maintenance intervals that are described in the operation
manual. Trained personnel may only carry out works.

• In case of malfunctions and/ or failure of the electric supply, stop the unit immediately.
Eliminate faults immediately.

• Once the machine is switched completely tension free for maintenance and repair
works, it must be secured against unexpected switching on.
- Switch off main switch
- Attach warn signal at main switch, e.g. “Do not switch on -> maintenance work”.

• First, check if the disconnected machine is tension free.

• Machine shall only be operated, when all safety devices and facilities (e.g.
emergency stop switch) are in place and working correctly.

• If necessary, or if required by regulations, use personal protection equipment.

• Depending on the processed wash items, parts of the machine can be contaminated
with germs.

• Obey all the safety guidelines and hazard warnings of the machine!.

• Stop the machine immediately, in case of safety related modifications or malfunctions

of the machine. Report the interruption to the authorized person!

• Do not make any changes, alterations or attachments on the machine, without the
approval of the manufacturer!

• Only specially trained personnel from the manufacturer should implement program
parameter alterations.

• It is only allowed to use genuine spare parts. Secure safe and environmental friendly
disposal of old spare parts.

5. Use for the intended purpose

The BHT INNOVA® M3 New shall solely be used for the fully automatic washing,
disinfection and drying of variety of wash goods as described below. The BHT INNOVA® M3
New can be used for chemical or thermal disinfection of various wash goods as described
below.

• For use in hospitals for processing of:

o Surgical instruments
o Anaesthetic material
o Rigid endoscopes/ MIS instruments
o Theatre shoes
o Containers
o Baby bottles, etc..
o

• In laboratories for treatment of lab glassware of all kinds, i.e.

o Erlenmeyer flasks
o Beakers or test tubes
o pipettes, Petri dishes, etc..

• In the pharmaceutical area for processing glassware, i.e.

o Infusion or spinner bottles as well as
o Ampoules

The wash goods must be cleaned with the corresponding rack. .

The wash goods must be resistant against the selected cleaning and disinfecting procedure.

BHT INNOVA® M3 New is built in accordance with the state – of – art of the standards and
the acknowledged safety rules.

BHT INNOVA® M3 New must only be used in technically perfect condition in accordance
with its designated use and the instructions set out in the operating manual. Any functional
disorders, especially those affecting the safety of the machine must be eliminated
immediately.
