Script for English Month Opening Program

Gem: Good morning to our parents, students and to our fellow teachers.
Welcome to Reading and English Month celebration with the theme,
“Reading, A Key to a Brighter Future”. My name is Gemmalyn Gingo and
my partner is Gene-lyn De Guzman. Your moderators for todays’ event.
Gene: November is indeed a much-awaited month for our English
language enthusiasts & book lovers.
Gem: I agree with you ma’am. Here at ALES, we have a special
celebration.
Gene: Reading can hone the knowledge and interest of children. Through
reading, children can enter worlds which they have not entered before.
They can discover new things, new places, and new people just by reading
anywhere they are.

PRAYER, NATIONALISTIC SONG, NATIONAL ANTHEM, NCR HYMN,


CALOOCAN MABUHAY KA
Gem: To start with, may we all rise and be one in mind, body & spirit as we
praise & thank our Almighty God for His graces and blessings through a
doxology to be led by Maam Myrna Guran, grade 5 teacher. Singing of
Nationalistic song will immediately follow. This will be followed by the
singing of our National Anthem to be led by Maam Michelle Lazona.
Gen: May we request everybody to join us in singing NCR Hymn &
Caloocan Mabuhay Ka.
OPENING REMARKS
Gem: To formally start this program, may we call on our dedicated school
principal, Dr. Melody T. Dayag for her opening remarks. Let us give her a
virtual clap.
Gene: Thank you po maam for those wonderful remarks.
INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE
Gene: Without further ado, now let us lend our ears and open our hearts to
the inspirational message of our dear PSDS, Dr. Perlita L. Datu.
Gem: Thank you po for that inspiring message madam. Mam, let's read

PRESENTATION OF CRITERIA & MECHANICS OF CONTEST
Gene: To present the criteria and mechanics of the contest, may we call on
Ms. Fatima Briones, our School English Coordinator.
Gem: Thank you Mam Fat. You know mam Gene, our kindergartens are
also talented. Here’s the proof, may we call on Christhal Heart Nellas from
Kinder for her special participation talent guided by Ms. Maylene Cristobal,
her adviser.

Gene: Thank you Christhal from Kinder. Now, let us move on to the
