BLOOD BANK SEARCH ENGINE SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

This project is aimed to developing a Blood Bank Search Engine System. The entire project
has been developed keeping in view of the distributed client server computing technology, in
mind. The Blood Donation Agent creates an e-Information about the donor and organization
that are related to donating the blood.

BBSES is a browser based system that is designed to store, process, retrieve and analyze
information concerned with the administrative and inventory process within a blood bank.
This project aims at maintaining all the information pertaining to blood donors, different
blood groups available in each blood bank and help them manage in a better way. Aim is to
provide transparency in this field, make the process of obtaining blood from a blood bank
hassle free and corruption free and make the system of blood bank management effective.

Through this application any person who is interested in donating the blood can register
himself in this application. Same way if any organization wants to register itself with this site
they can also register. Moreover if any general consumer wants to make request blood online
he can also take the help of this site. Admin is the main authority who can do addition,
deletion, and modification if required.

The database connectivity is planned using the “SQL Connection” methodology. The
standards of security and data protective mechanism have been given a big choice for proper
usage. The application takes care of different modules and their associated reports, which are
produced as per the applicable strategies and standards that are put forwarded by the
administrative staff.

Blood bank who collect the blood should be given for different hospital. We have tried to
maintain all those information of donor which is easily understandable to the doctors which
makes them easy to find the donor. Using these schema, donor are attracted to donate the
blood. Our system encourages the communication between the donor and doctor. Blood is
delivered within time and delays are minimized. Proper tools are used which requires low
cost for the development of our system.

Modules Description:

 Administration:

In administrator module, admin is responsible for the whole system. Admin should add new
blood group details, add employee details, view blood group, view organization details and
view donation details.

 Publication of Nationwide Blood Donation Event:

This module allows the blood bank administrator to publicize the nationwide blood donation
events online. The public can view the venue and time of the blood donation drives are to be
held.

 Online Student Registration:

In the particular organization student or staff can make online registration on their blood
group and personal details. The blood centers' administrators can then manage their details by
either to approve or reject for blood donation.

 Blood Stock Management:

The blood bank administrators can manage the blood stock starting from the blood collection,
to blood screening, processing, storage, transference and lastly transfusion through this
system. Moreover, there is also logging function available so that each process or workflow
can be traced from the database. The system will also give an alert to the administrator
whenever the blood quantity is below its par level.

 Online Search:
The records of all donors and their history are kept in one centralized database and thus
reducing duplicate data in the database and the data’s saved more secured. User can search
the donor details trough by online. But initially they can get donors basic information only.
Getting admin acknowledgment after that they can get donors entire details.

 Call Center:
In this module all the employee who has been appointed by Admin will come. Admin will
add all the information of employee and assign user name and password to them. By using
that user name and password they will enter to their login and can search for the entire donor,
and about the entire blood request which have been made by consumer, donor or any
organization. Call center people will assign donor to related request.

 Connect to Hospital:
Blood bank is connected to hospital. Blood bank administrator can manage the details about
hospital functionalities. After Hospital Registration it gets username and password. Then
Hospital request to blood bank management. It is specially meant for hospital Who need
blood for their patient regularly or for blood bank who collect blood to be given for different
hospital. Here we maintain the information about the donor and blood needed in particular
hospital. It helps the doctors to find the donor at right time.
