At the beginning of the lesson, I want you to tell me when was the last time you wrote an
informal letter to a pen-freind. What was it about?
Contruction of new knowdege
Firstly, I am going to ask you to read the rubric, underlined the key words and answer the
questions. Then, you have to read the model essay and identify the new vocabulary. You are
going to translate the essay with my help. And then look at the instructions at the tables
below.
Later, I am going to explain what you should do in each exercise and ask them to complete all
of them. To continue, you are going to read the rubric and underline the key words, then
answer the questions about it.. Then, in exercise 2 you have to read the model essay and
match the paragraphs (A-D) to the descriptions (1-4). In exercise 3a you have to read the
sentences and complete the gaps using the adjectives from the list. In exercise 3b you have to
underline the adjectives in the model letter and replace them with other synonymous ones.
In ex 4 you are going to practive Opening /Closing Remarks.
Then in ex 5 you are going to read the Study Skills box and practice Informal/Formal Style.
In ex 6a you are going to first brainstorm ,answer the given questions .

Presentation and demonstration of the achieved result

In order to reflect on writing an informal letter you have to follow the plan and complete
exercise 6b.
