COVER LETTER

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you in hopes of applying to become a film editor that I

saw being distributed throughout the online platforms. For reference I
have attached my cv down below.

Over a period of time I have become quite knowledge in the media

industry indulging in different work experiences that could potentially
help my skills grow further when using a computer for editing footage or
adding in effects or dialogue which would prove beneficial for your
company. When it comes to my qualifications as a film editor, I have
developed many skills through making a magazine and a short opening
scene of an original film. Through these experiences I was able to
enhance my skills on Final cut pro to ensure that the continuity of the
film was smooth throughout. This made me pay close attention to the
details required and helped me improve my communication skills greatly.

Currently I am still going forth in my education studying a Btec media

production course at Bishop Challoner. I had also study media before this
during GCSE’s where I got a 6 as my final grade for the subject so I
believe that my skills are greater than most people due to my long
experience which would be good use for this role and to help others.

I think my long time experience has made me quick and organised in

managing my time well so that I am able to get everything done. Having
to complete tasks or projects that maybe due the next day or the next
week meant I had to ensure I planned my day out to fit that I could get
everything done to a sensible standard. I regard myself as a hard working
individual and believe that this is a key aspect in any work place
environment.

In regards to the job description I also find myself to be keen to detail and
possess and critic mind and my creating and passion to create is my
strongest features as I enjoy creating and making things out of my own
ideas. Even though, I possess the passion I am also a very patient person

that will wait for unexpected things to open up a better direction/path. I

find myself to be a very self-motivated person that completes the task
given and I think that with my knowledge and capabilities I can
contribute and great deal to this company and its people as well as this
job.
