1. Of the four reasons presented in the second article, which do you think is most
significant/most true for you and why?
• The most significant reasons for me is “Self-understanding promotes
confidence”. I considered myself who has a low self-esteem. I am afraid in failure
that leads me to become discourage, give-up and experience lack of confidence
or something to be shameful. But in this journey of life everyone will experience
failure. Confidence is cannot be taught, but to look beyond to myself and build
faith is the best way to gain self-confidence. Today, I prefer to believe in myself
first before allowing negative people to control my life.

2. Do you have some insecurities? Without being too revealing about it (Since it is a
private, personal matter), How do you deal with them? Do you agree with the
suggestions mentioned by Dondiego Casanova in his article?
• As a human-being I have some insecurities in life. Sometimes it could be in
academics, business, body shape or skin color. Overcoming insecurities isn’t
easy. Sometimes I become paranoid, anxious and could lead to loss of
relationship to other people. During my high school days, I always expecting to
be on top, but I always failed and not meeting my expectations. But as time goes
by, I have realized that overcoming insecurities requires positive mindset, be
happy, contented, and stand up with confidence. I know anything worth doing is
going to have some difficulties in life furthermore, there is no greater life than
that of following the will of God

3. Isn’t “self-love” selfish? Think about it, your thoughts?

• Self-love is not being selfish it is being courageous. It is the best love we could
ever had. We are courageous to accept our flaws, to take off the mask we wear
and we can now acknowledge our own self-worth. What matters the most is we
discover our own happiness that could benefit other people especially in building
a relationship.
