Equipment is defined as a individual physical object to

be maintained as an autonomous unit. It is an
autonomous technical object where we do
maintenance and maintain the history of the
equipment. Equipment used in
Means of Production- Production dept equipment
Means of transport- Fleet Equipment
Test Equipment- Used in QM dept
Production resource tools- PRT used in PP department
Customer Devices-Used by customer
Buildings, system and system parts, vehicles.

Pieces of Equipment usually represents single objects

such as pumps, Motors, Vehicles for which
maintenance tasks should be performed.

Equipment can be installed at Functional Location.

A piece of Equipment can be linked with a material if
there is Inventory Management.

Criteria for Equipment:

(1) Management of individual data
(2) Documentation of maintenance tasks
(3) Object based recording of costs
(4) Evaluation of technical data
(5) Recording of usage times

Functions-Deletion Flag-Set/Reset

To dismantle the Equipment from one FL and

assign to another FL or new FL

IE02-Change Inst Loc-click on dismantle and

replace-

Monitor IH01 this is called Installing and

dismantling the Equipment.
