It means when ever requirements is there the requirement of
spareparts from all this Mnaufacturing plants either Plant1, Plant2, Plant3
they need a requirement of spareparts.therefore all manufacturing plants
will approach to the Purchase dept at Delhi H.O.Plannin plants.

When ever there is a need of spareparts from all the Manufacturing

Plants they approach to planning plant located in Delhi HO.

It means manucacturing plants will not procure materials directly.

So this Delhi H.O> Treated as Planning Plant

Where Plant1, plant 2, Plant 3 > Maintenance palnts

all the manufacuring plants will inform about

the purchasing of spareparts to Purchase dept which located in Delhi HO

There fore Delhi office is called as Planning plant where as all

the manufacuring palnts we call then as maintenace plants.

Planned group is a nothing but individual persons or gropup

of personsor group of employees for planning of activities and processing
maintenance tasks in a plant we called it as planned groups.

(2) PM ORDER

MAINTEANCE POCESS PALNNING

(1) PP DEPARTMENT - MACHINE GOT BKD -DG SET _ Pipe leakage, Noise issue.

Whom they will approach.

Maintenance dept: ENGG DEPT ABOUT THE ISSUE OR PROBLEM OF BKD ACTIVITITY OF
MACHINE.

(2) PP DEPT WILL CREATED NOTIFICATION-- WE CALLED PM NOTIFICATION.

REASON FOR BKD & TIME WHEN THE BKD MAINTEANCE TAKES PLACE

(3) Notification comes to the maintenance (or) engg dept.

the maintenance dept w.r.t Notification they will created an Order4
i.e maintenance Order.
(4) In the M.o we maintain the bom details like equipmet, Functional Bom,
Tasklists & they operations are performed to resolve the issue.

(5) If Miantenance people requires spareparts like gaskets, bearing,

Coupling etc. they will go to stores where the spareparts are to be taken.

(6) If the spare parts are not available then they will do the Procurement

(7) After the Purchasing the store people will issue material to the maintenance
department.

(8) Maintenance Order release, confirmation etc takes place.

Non Stock Procurement:

In the M.O __MACHINE DG SET BKD DOWN. Material not avialable in stores
Some spareparts to be purchased on the need based. there fore Nonsock ietms
to be procured in SAP PM.

External services Management:

sOME TIMES IN THE company some maintenance services from the

maintenance dept cannot resolve the issues they will approach the external third
party vendor
they will come and rectify the issue. This is called external service
management.
Types of funcinality in SAP PM.

(1) Regular (or) Corerctive manitenance_ Planned One

Regular services like ( gearbox cleaning, Valves cleaning)
(2)Bkd Maintenance -Un planned one. we cannot predict it.
(3) Preventive maintenance- Planned one
(a) Time Based- Weekly, monthly, Yearly.
(b) Performance Based- 1000HOURS, 2000 HOURS, 5000 HOURS.
(c) Conditon based- Not getting eaxct temparature, pressure reading,
Machine is not working up to mark.

(4) Refurbishment Process:- It is the process of reconditioing

of the spareparts & returing to the stores we can define refurbishment Order

(5) Calibration Process:- the Objective of the Calibartion Inspection

is to determine whether each peice of an equipemt specified in the MO meets
the predefined performance speficiations in QM dept the people
regularly check the quality of the product an regular intervals.
