2. Job Purpose
To develop skills, experience and qualifications necessary to become a fully qualified Lecturer in
Engineering and deliver inspiring teaching and learning. To provide high quality, relevant learning
opportunities which enable learners to maximise their educational, vocational and personal development
potential.

5. Key Responsibilities
• Develop skills, knowledge and experience to become an inspirational Lecturer in Engineering.
• Deliver the curriculum effectively through a variety of different learning strategies.
• Deliver high quality and challenging learning experiences.
• Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to learners.
• Collaborate with staff in the development of effective learning programmes.
• Undertake duties as designated by the curriculum teams.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and development.
• Comply with and develop best practice administrative and quality assurance systems.
• Undertake appropriate staff development and training, including the maintenance and updating of
specialist skills.
• Attend and actively participate in area and department meetings, planning events, open days and
recruitment events.
• Cover for absent curriculum staff.
• Undertake a full teaching qualification e.g. Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
